Pants?
Not invited.
This month, San Jose Bike Party is keeping it breezy with The No Pants Ride. That’s right — on August 21st, we’re hitting the streets of San Jose with less fabric, more fun, and absolutely no obligation to wear pants.
And before anyone panics: “No pants” does not mean “wear nothing.”
Shorts, skirts, dresses, tutus, rompers, bloomers, costumes, underwear-over-tights, or any other creatively pants-free look is welcome. If it’s fun, a little ridiculous, and keeps the important bits covered, you’re doing it right.
Katey is leading this month’s ride, so come ready for a night full of bikes, music, laughs, and the kind of outfit choices that make people do a double take.
This is your chance to get weird with it. Cute, silly, outrageous, classy, chaotic—we want to see it all.
⸻
Why Bike Party?
Because riding bikes is fun, and riding bikes with a few hundred other people is even better.
San Jose Bike Party is a rolling party traveling 15–20 miles through San Jose and the South Bay on the third Friday of every month. Each ride features a new theme, a new starting point, and a route revealed the week of the ride.
We break the ride into three segments with two regroup party stops featuring Guerillaz In Da Mixx and the mobile dance floor.
It’s not just a ride. It’s a moving party.
⸻
ALL WHEELS WELCOME — BUT PLEASE CONTROL YOUR ROLL.

Please ride predictably.
⸻
LIGHT UP YOUR BIKE.
Headlights are required by law.
Tail lights are strongly suggested.
We highly encourage you to light up your entire bike. Being seen can save your life.
⸻
How We Ride:
Following these guidelines helps Bike Party stay safe and positive for riders, drivers, pedestrians, and the community.
• Ride sober
• Stop at red lights
• Stay to the right
• Pack your trash
• Roll past conflict
• Be nice
Remember: You are responsible for your own behavior. All participants ride at their own risk. Please ride predictably.
⸻
So leave the pants at home, grab your bike, and bring your best questionable fashion choices.
See you at Tamien Station.

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, but please, read and follow our “How We Ride” guidelines to keep everyone safe and to keep San Jose Bike Party rolling! We share the road with other vehicles and we frequently ride in the dark.
Having a great time and want to help? We’re always looking for volunteers to help guide riders at corners or to handle other tasks. Talk to any of the “BIRDs” (look for the “bird” logo!) for details. Or you head over to our Donation Page.
