SJBP – Dr. Zeus Ride – Test Ride #1

When: Feb 27 2026 7:30PM – 10:30PM

Where: Arena Green Park near the Polo Courts! (345 W Santa Clara)

Who: San Jose Bike Party

Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54078377

SJBP relies on riders like YOU to help us test the route before we launch each big event.

Join us on Friday, February 27 as we preview/test the route for March’s Dr. Zeus Ride!

Oh the places we’ll roll…

Through streets that twist and streets that bend, with bikes and lights and all your friends!

We need your eyes, your wheels, your crew

To help us make this route safe for YOU!

Gathering begins at 7:30pm

Wheels hit the street at 8:00pm

Start Location: Arena Green (San Jose)

Ride Leader: David K

Ride length: ~17–20 miles

Ride Pace: Casual/Slow (10–12 mph)

Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54078377

These small group test rides are the perfect way to:

• meet new riders

• catch up with old friends

• get in some miles

• help us fine-tune the magic ✨

While you’re pedaling, we’ll count on you to help spot potential route hazards. Your feedback helps keep Bike Party safe and smooth for the full ride next month.

👀 Things to watch out for:

– road or bike lane construction

– hazardous railroad crossings

– poorly signed lane changes

– tricky turns

– problematic regroup spots

– debris in the road

– dangerous traffic patterns

We’ll stop at our prospective regroup spots (20–30 minutes each) to test flow and vibes.

Bike Party is awesome because YOU ROLL OUT WITH US.

Join us. Bring your crew. Bring your whimsy.

#ComeAsYouAre #DontForgetYourBike

ALL WHEELS WELCOME BUT PLEASE CONTROL YOUR ROLL.

#DontBeAJerkFace #ManageYourMischief #ItsNotARace

PLEASE RIDE PREDICTABLY.

PLEASE LIGHT UP YOUR BIKE.

Headlights are required by law and tail lights are strongly suggested. We highly recommend lighting up your whole bike — neon, glow, stripes, spots, socks on shocks… why not?! Being seen can save your life. Plus… spectacle is encouraged. 🌟

How We Ride

If you follow these rules, Bike Party stays safe and positive for riders, drivers, pedestrians, and the community:

• Ride sober

• Stop at red lights

• Stay to the right

• Pack your trash

• Roll past conflict

• Be nice

Remember: you are responsible for your own behavior. All participants ride at their own risk.

What is San Jose Bike Party?

We’re a rolling party that travels 15–20 miles by bicycle (or scooter, unicycle, tricycle, roller skates, etc.) through the streets of San Jose and the South Bay on the third Friday of every month. Each month features a different starting location and route that stays (somewhat) secret until the week of the ride!

We break the ride into three segments with two party stop regroups where you can dance it out with Guerillaz In Da Mixx.

Want to help make the magic happen? Message us! We need volunteers to:

– help guide turns

– ride RAVEN trash trikes

– help plan each month’s ride

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, but please, read and follow our “How We Ride” guidelines to keep everyone safe and to keep San Jose Bike Party rolling!  We share the road with other vehicles and we frequently ride in the dark.

Having a great time and want to help? We’re always looking for volunteers to help guide riders at corners or to handle other tasks. Talk to any of the “BIRDs” (look for the “bird” logo!) for details. Or you head over to our Donation Page.

Some helpful hints:

  1. Follow the Law
  2. Be Predictable
  3. Be Conspicuous
