As the moons of Tatooine glow in the evening’s twilight, a faint echo is heard in the distance. The fine desert dust rises with the booming voices of……BIKE PARTY!!!!!
Are you a Jedi, Storm Trooper, a clone, or a bounty hunter? … or are you Jabba? LOL. We bike party Star Wars style! Get your costumes ready and your bikes outfitted … let’s ride!!!
Be safe, legal, and courteous (see How We Ride!). We share the road with other traffic. Helping cars move through smoothly makes the ride more enjoyable for everyone. Do your part to encourage good behavior! Also, please remember to turn down the volume when riding through residential areas late at night.
BIRDs
BIRDs are our wonderful volunteers that attempt to keep everyone on our rides safe. Please be respectful of their directions and thank them for all of the effort they put into the ride. If you want to help out and make your mark on Bike Party, please join the BIRDs at the volunteer circle prior to the start of the ride.
Ravens
Ravens are the elite group of BIRDs that make sure we leave no trace behind by cleaning up after the party at regroups. They are essential to keeping the party going and they can’t do it by themselves. When you see any of them with a trashbag collecting your trash, please thank them! They are a really cool bunch. Please bring trash bags and help us leave no trace.

Feeder rides
Feeder rides are a great way to get to Bike Party They allow you to make great friends and get to know people who live near you. They also make it super easy to get back home as a group as most folks ride home with the group they arrived with. You save the planet and save on parking while getting a little bit more exercise. It’s all good.

There is a closed down shopping center on Santa Clara and 7th… Try there. Also on 1st street and 280 is always free parking

Be wary of parking at the parking lot of Santa clara and 7th. I got towed from that parking lot, which cost me more than 300 to get my car back out. Almost all residential from Julian and above is available. Be watchful for the weekly street sweeping which is different on each street. There will be signs saying what day not to park.

East of 4th Street, most street parking is free after 6 pm. Just read the meters and signs. Avoid parking in shopping centers unless you want your car to mysteriously vanish.

Bike Vader will be gathering troops at San Jose Bicycles for a feeder ride (565 Tully Rd between Senter and 10th), leaving the shop at 7pm and riding to the start. Best costume at Bike Party will win a $50 gift certificate to the shop, so get your Force on!

What a pleasant evening to kick off the busy season for Bike Party!

I few bicyclist thought it would be cool to do an optional: quiet, and personal homage to the bicyclist who lost his life, a few days ago, while riding — in the bike lane — on San Tomas in Campbell.
All that’s required is just a thought and or, a smile in memory of a fallen fellow bicyclist in yet, another seemingly: senseless accident.
Let’s have fun with this classic theme ride and, always Bike Party safely together forever!

Bike party has been riding along Alma towards 87 tonight after 10 p.m. and your music is obnoxiously loud and disturbing even through closed windows. Please remember that people live along Alma, including families and you are disturbing the residents of the neighborhood with your music and yelling. Turn it down.
