you really should look at the route so you have some basic familiarity with it so you can plan for possible bailout points or for the unexpected.

Hey all of you out there riding your bikes down bascom Ave. I’m all for having fun and doing these massive rides, but I’m appalled at the numbers of you riding without helmets, letting your children ride without helmets and letting the little ones, without helmets ride in the middle of a 3 lane major thouroghfare! I’m disguted by the profanity, especially around the kids, and the aggressive riding and “playing chicken” with the cars on the road! 99% of you riding are breaking every bicycle traffic law possible and have the nerve to shout profanity at me in my car? You are the reason people get hit and killed by drivers on your route! Put on a helmet, put lights on your bikes, and keep yourselves a d your children out of the middle of the road!
