Orange. It’s more than just a color. It’s a state of mind. The word orange developed from the Sanskrit word naranga. In education, engineering is represented by orange.
According to Cyclelicious, Orange is the fastest color
Please join us in celebrating the color this upcoming Friday.

Grapefruits, lemons, limes, pomelos, tangerines papedas, and kumquats unite against this orange tyranny. No longer shall we labor under the superiority complex of this so called “master variety”. Instead, we shall rise above this orange tide and emerge in a society where citrus or all colors are crated as equals.
I guess my fruit bowl had something to say…;-)
Anyway, can’t wait for the orange ride.

Ha! That was funny.
I just finished printing out some spoke cards and read your post before riding to Kinkos to get them laminated. Reminds me of a song called ‘The Trees’ by Rush. Now where did I put my air guitar?
4 days and 30 minutes to go!

Check out
http://www.sjbikeparty.org/faq
it says
“Check the SJBP website approximately 24 hours before every ride to get the exact address and route.”
It’s a fun anticipation thing I always look forward to every 3rd Thursday afternoon.

With “spring-like” weather conditions forecasted through the weekend, the Orange Ride is looking “sexier” by the hour.
We might even see the largest turn-out since last Halloween.
I am so excited that I am spending my evening tuning up and polishing my bicycle just to relax.
My girlfriend tells me to get a life… but, Bike Party is part of life.
Well…isn’t it?

@Spliffer,
When I first read your post I could see you ending it, “… but, I sure am going to miss her.”
But check out what you two can do together in two weeks!

That should help her see the light.

Show up early if you want, or find a rendezvous point further down the route if you prefer being fashionably late. Does half an hour of uncertainty dilute your fun?
Just another feature I like about this party!

The approximate start-time temp should be a balmy 60-62 degrees!
That should be inviting enough to rouse any bear — or, “thin-bloodied bicyclist” — buried or in deep, “dead-of-winter”, hibernation to frolic in this “false-spring-like” warmth.
Come on out and celebrate some Orange warmth!
Heck, I wonder what bike party would be like in International Falls, Minnesota where its “-46 degrees-below-zero”. Ouch!
Would anyone show-up?
Bike Party forever!

With all due respect, “the catalyst”, we have flogged that horse to death over the years and we do not wish to revisit it ever again in this new year-2011.
San Jose Bike Party has rolled and will roll through all areas of the South Bay without: fear, malice or prejudice “period”.
You can choose to skip this Bike Party and, we will just see you at nest month’s.
Please, please… please stop the fear-mongering!

Doesn’t a 20 mile ride wear you out? Isn’t it pretty difficult, and anyone know what time it will be over?
Jacky
January 21, 2011
If you can do 10 miles you can do 20 miles, that’s what they say anyway. Bike Party is a social ride so you can cruise along at your own pace. We’ve had rides that are over at 11:00 and we have had some end much later. This is a relatively shorter ride this month, so come on out and join us!
