I actually didn't know the first regroup had special entertainment which would explain a delay. We decided to wait because there were young kids in the group and really trekking out this time to South San Jose wasn't a good option but wanted to pick it up for part of the way. Next time I will be sure to start from the begining if its close. We were far from this start, but wanted to participate at least for a bit. Wasn't familiar with the food trucks, entertainment, so that would explain a lot. I still think a tracker would be cool. Or someone updating in real time during rides!

Wow, bummer.
So you knew:
you were meeting a large group ride,
when they left,
where they left from,
what route they were taking,
where they were stopping,
that the first regroup had special entertainment that might make it go long.
And yet your feeder group decided to 'wait a really long time' instead of deciding to either ride ahead or backtrack in an attempt to find the main group?
Really?!
I'm not sure a tracker would've helped your SC feeder group...
But you should bring it up at the next volunteer mixer, sounds like a good idea.

SJ Bike Party needs a tracker! I was part of the SC feeder that was meeting you mid ride and didn't end up meeting up because at 9:30pm you were still at mile 4. It would be great to have a tracker, or someone post to FB what mile you are at. After waiting a really long time our group decided to head back home :-(

We really enjoyed this ride. We thought it went pretty well, especially with the huge number of people. Route directions posted the day before are really useful, thanks. We typically start heading home after the 2nd or 3rd stop because I get annoyed and want to avoid crashing into the reckless drunk kids that cut people off and skid to a stop. Overall great rides.
