Fun ride guys! Did anyone find a blue/white/tan backpack at the Campbell Community Center at the end of the ride? I left my bag by accident and by the time I went back to get it, it was gone. Since not a lot of people finished the ride I’m hoping someone picked it up and has it. Please email me at katie at sjbikeparty dot org.
Remember last spring for the ride up around Alviso I wasn’t able to make it so I scheduled a ‘makeup ride’ and a bunch of us had a good ride using the awesome route. Anybody interested?
During the Monsoon, life giving waters fall from the heavens to renew and destroy. Last night was a Monsoon and was the wettest I’ve ever been riding a bike. I salute my fellow partiers who stuck it out, rode the distance and reveled in the adventure that is Bike Party. A hearty thanks to all the volunteers that make Bike Party a safe adventure. See you next month.

HAhaha…
BP was fun!
True riders showed up even in costume! There was a huge Animal Cracker box, A guy juggling on stilts at the RG, fully dressed clowns, a flying butterfly and a lion! Haha what wet fun we had! I even met a cute girl! she said she like to ride in the rain. <3 I was on fixed gear which made this ride Skid Heaven!
I agree with the “awesome ride” comments. This time I showed up in a poncho over a rainproof jacket, and that was about the right amount of warm clothing. I got home almost dry, a first for a wet ride. Also, I took a few pictures with the new camera my friend in New Zealand mailed me. You can see them at:
All of you folks have earned the label of “hard to the core” bike party revelers.
I wish I could’ve joined ‘yawl’, but on that rain soaked night, I lacked the courage of my conviction.
I am most impressed, my bicycling brethren.
Bike Party forever in any kind of weather…. kudos…

I counted 124 riders at the VTA tracks, 105 in DT Los Gatos, and 62 in Cupertino. This was the smallest Bike Party I’ve ever been to!
The route was great, though, especially that dark section of University along Vasona Park. Thanks Carlos!

The conditions were brutal as were the crashes. I’ll be a little more choosier whether I go again if the the weather is that bad.
