Thanks, Perlasum, I've got an account now. Rider 44, I hope they do that sort of thing when I can join. I'm really out of shape & want to ease into riding!
The time posted on the page (just found it) is 11am. Unfortunately, I've got family commitments until noon.

Hi Emm,
This is great! Other people like me that don't have fb and, as a result, end up not finding about test rides, are speaking up. Right on!
I have a hunch that, now that's it not just my lone voice lamenting that I am out of the loop (you are the third cyclist I've heard mention you are not on fb),
the hub will be better about posting testride info here on the web.

But, if I'm wrong. The absolute BEST way to get their attention. (caution, sarcasm alert) is to post a message saying,

YOU GUYS NEED TO...

For example, if, by Saturday afternoon, there isn't SOME way us non-facebookers can get the testride route.
I'm going to post a message (in all caps, of course) saying

YOU GUYS NEED TO POST THE ROUTE FOR THE TEST RIDE.

And if that doesn't work,
I'll claim to be a real saintly cyclist in need of the route, accuse them of being an exclusive club, demand they do more to meet my needs/wants...

(ok, end sarcasm) :)

But seriously, with the changes I've seen in cyclist participation on the web site over the past 30 days or so, I have a hunch the hub is now well aware that when they service their fb cyclists, they will also need to service their web site cyclists.

Thanks Emm, I just sent you a friend request. I look forward to riding with you this Sunday,
David

Mrs H,
The very first test ride I went on, when I got the route I saw it looked like a very lopsided figure 8. We started at the crossing point and looped around about 6 miles back to the start point. Then we looped around about 20 miles back to the start point. I brought my whole family on the first loop, then most of them went home and the rest of us continued on.

I don't know what the route is (I'm not on FB either), but sometimes it is pretty easy to cut the route short and head back if you need to. In fact, depending on when they start on Sunday, I might do exactly that as I have a prior commitment later in the day. Hopefully they start sooner rather than later (hint hint).

Hope you can make it! :)
