Hi Grace,

This ride is specifically designed for riders of all ability levels, including newbies! The route is very flat and we'll be going at an easy pace.

Here's a good rule of thumb when planning a longer ride than you're used to: Take whatever distance you think you can ride comfortably and double it. So if you think you can ride about 5 miles, I'll bet you could do 10 without any trouble. If you think you can do 10 miles, for one day you'd be able to do 20, etc.

Also, like the moderator said, riding in a group is a lot easier and more fun! I say come out and try it, and you might be surprised by how far you go. :)

Hi! This sounds like a great event. I just bought my bike last month so I'm a total newbie. (I've only been on it four times and before that I haven't gotten on a bike in like 10 years!) can some like me who only rides around the block attend an event like this? haha...I know I will not do the 15 miles (geez, maybe one day but not this time) but my goal is to get on my bike more often so this is a great start motivator for me to be active. Can I come and play?

[moderator/tr: You'll be surprised how far you can ride in a group vs. riding alone. Ladies, any suggestions for Grace?]

A great test ride with over 50 riders. What a great route and regroups that Katie has developed.

If you've never been on bike party this is a great ride. If you have been and wanting something more intimate (ie, 250-300+ great people instead of 2-3k) then this "throwback ride" is for you!

Cool to see families out there today... hope to see lots more on the Ladies Ride!

Bringing a wife and daughter to the TR and whatever other females we can round up. I'll be providing logistical and technical support (ie flat tires and drop chains) but these ladies are RIDERS.

A'ight gals, it's time to git yer game on! Let's see it out there!

Good questions, Elodia! The actual ride on the 24th will be at 6 pm. The cause is just getting ladies together on bikes, and I guess that's the theme too. :)
