Saturday, March 27th, is the first test ride for April.
Greetings Bike Party!
Join us for anoter great ride. All of the test rides are really fun and have been a great way to meet other people excited about riding bikes. The test rides are smaller in number when compared to our 3rd Friday events, but no less fun.
Perhaps you are looking for a nice weekend ride or want to find out what bike party is about. Please come out. We encourage anyone gearing up for BIKE THE LIMITS to join us. If you are busy, we have our final BIKE THE LIMITS test ride on Sunday.
- Time: 10:00am – 2:30pm
- Location: TBD
- Facebook: link
Details are being added to the facebook page as we get closer to Saturday.

Great test ride today! It was quite pleasant rolling past places I’ve never really gotten to go before. A few things, though.
Positives:
-There were a lot of good straight roads with multiple lanes, leaving plenty of room for our group.
-Lots of good food on the way back!
-This section of the area seems less explored by bike party. Nice to get out every now and then
Not-so-positives:
-The hilly sections I see being tough for
Bike Partiers. A bunch of you guys (with a few exceptions) seemed to be experienced riders with big calves on road bikes. A good portion of the night riders consists of kids on bmx bikes, cruiser people, fixie-types, car-people-who-ride-once-every-five-years, trailer-towers, and first-timers. Don’t want to lose anybody, split the group, or scare anyone off.
That’s all I got! Best Saturday I’ve had in a while.

I agree with Britton we’re going to need a alternet route for the once a month riders and trailers pullers.

Test Ride #1 yesterday was fun and showed us some roads we don’t want to take. Watching Kieth’s face as we all yelled “Wuss” was worth the price of admission. Here are a few pics … http://www.flickr.com/photos/47973681@N02/?saved=1

Stragely, I didn’t think the hills were that much of an issue.
I did, however, think we should scratch the first part on Taylor. One lane, and I suspect plenty of traffic on a Friday. We could use more residential streets before we reach the freeway.
Also, the first spot where we crossed train tracks may be challenging for newbies on road bikes

Billy Cool,
Great photos! They’d make a fine addition to the SJ Bike Party flickr pool.
