Hey now SJBP nerds,
There will be a pre-ride from South San Jose that will leave from the parking area behind Oakridge Mall: at or near the corner of Thornwood Dr. and Santa Theresa Blvd at 7:15pm tomorrow night. Arrive at 7:pm for the pre-ride festivities. Look for the half baked nerd on the well lit Townie. We will make our way to Downtown the exclusive Townie Bill way, famous for the exposure to San Jose culture, political satire, and other factors attractive to most slideruling, pocket protecting, rubix cube solving, code writing nerds . . . that like to ride with the SJBP!
E=MC2! Be there or be parabolic!

If we catch a break with the weather, I will consider this month’s theme and route a can’t miss event.
I could drop my super-cool facade and let me inner geek flow.
I am looking forward to discussing classic Quantum Theory: indulging wave ~ particle phenomena, (((“spooky action at a distance”))) and cosmological constants.
Actually the intricacies of particle physics in the vacuum of space is my favorite!
I just can’t wait for this BIKE PARTY!!!!
Big ups to the Bike Party physics wing.

A request for Ian leading the SJ north preride. Can we ride the street rather than the trail. The section near the airport will be especially muddy from the rain. Otherwise I will meet you at the start.
Looking forward to a great ride, rain or moonshine!

@Frenchie: All pre-rides leave at 7pm.
As for the rain, my bet is the threat of rain keeps most riders away (anyone else remember that small, intimate, super-fun November ride? Oh yesss) and at the same time hardly drizzles on us.
Tonight’s going to be awesome. Tell your friends – tonight’s ride will probably be smaller & more social than normal: supersweet!

@Ian… What happened with the pre-ride? It looked pretty deserted when we got there (10 mins before 7) Three of us did it anyway, but we were wondering if it got moved or if nobody showed up?

Great ride last night! It was good to see so many people come out with such sketchy weather predictions before hand. Tall bikes for life!

Had a blast on the ride, and the bridge that we crossed was a great addition to the trip. cant wait for next month… OH AND BY THE WAY, I GOT PULLED OVER BY THE COPS ON MY WAY HOME, (I think the code was B.W.B = biking while black, you know how it goes. 2 cops and 1 Sergeant for 1 San José law abiding citizen, but thats another story!) AND THEY SAID THAT IF WE DONT STOP RUNNING LIGHTS, THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE THE “BIKE PARTY” GET A PARADE LICENSE… I think we should take the one lane to the right and the red light rules to heart, I want this BIKE PARTY thing to go on strong with no hiccups.

That was a bummer my brethren!
I am sure the incident put a damper on what could have been a perfect night, eh…
I guess this just goes to show you that although society is changing for the better; some things just seem to remain the same.
So sad… soo sad…
On a positive note.
At least now you have been baptized — rights of passage — for all JAH People in the U.S. of A., my brethren.
I and I must stand strong!
Thanks for bringing this incident to light and so much for the anti-profiling efforts of the SJPD.
What a shame…
