thanks to all of those that rode, 30-35 on a day that started out dumping rain. luckily it stopped before most of us rode. the roads were great except for some nasty lurking invisible potholes.

this just shows how important it is to get more city workers and officials out on our rides. so they can experience what we as active bikers have to put up with!

i'm sure there will be another test ride once someone figures out the next dry day?!?

Thanks to all 30 people who stopped and waited when I got a flat. Fortunately I always carry all the tools I need plus three spare tubes. After I broke away from the group in Mountain View and headed back downtown on El Camino on my own, I got another flat, thanks to all the stuff the storm has blown everywhere. It really pays to carry tubes and tools. I highly recommend it.

Well said Townie Bill, 48 miles, nice job! You Da Man... I also agree about rolling past our conflicts. I think we just made things worse yesterday. The views were beautiful and In & Out burger really hit the spot. It is a blast hanging out with SJBP! I will look forward to the next pre ride.

Thanks to the all of BIRDS great planning I wish I had more time to help... I work too much but I do try to make it to all the pre and main rides!

To those doing the "heavy lifting": to establish a theme, map the route, and collaborate on a test ride, thank you. The rest of us are the benificiaries of your energies and without you, and those dedicated individuals behind the scenes, the sun sets on SJBP. Risk is everywhere and exponentially expanded when we fail to recognize an opportunity to become ambassadors of our beloved activity. To quote "Testrides", we must tread gently.

High points of the test ride included:

1. View of the sky after the morning showers diminished.
2. 24 to 30 happy riders providing a healthy mix of opinions and social interaction.
3. Nothing like a Saturday afternoon Tornado warning from NOAH.
4. Animal style DoubleDouble at In-N-Out.
5. A hot shower and a cold beer after my 48 mile testride .

It was great to be out with you all yesterday. Let's be sure to represent SJBP with poise and dignity as we become the face of SJBP. If we "roll past conflict" and impart information to fellow riders with a positive energy and a smile, the SJBP will continue to grow and flurish. This is too good to lose.
