The Science Ride: This month’s artist – Andre Hart

The Science RideThis month’s artist: Andre Hart of San Jose
Name/Age/Location?
Andre Hart. 23. San Jose, CA

What’s your experience with Bicycles?
I’ve always been a cyclist, but as of late I haven’t had much time. I learned how to ride when I was maybe 4 years old. And I remember I didn’t get to start on 3 wheels, so I fell over a lot.

How’d you first hear of SJBP?
Well I didn’t hear about them, I actually heard them. I heard it coming around the corner one night and asked a friend maybe 2 years ago, what was that, and it was bike party.

What are your thoughts about SJBP and its effects on SJ?
I like the idea of it all. It’s easy transportation, people coming together. I also see it as a healthy cause. If this country needs anything, it’s to move more hahaha.

What are your thoughts on SJBP artwork?
It’s interesting. I love to see them do some sort of mural work though. Perhaps something that could share SJBP’s presence to more of the community.

How’d you get into the type of art you are doing now?
Haha well I didn’t. It got into me really. I am always changing my style, whether it be painting, drawing, or songwriting. I guess it’s just a thoughtless yet thoughtful process if you can make sense of that statement.

Where would you like to take your art from here?
New York, Portland, Austin, LA, Seattle among other places. I Hold no apologies for wanting to be a well known artist just as any artist should hold no apologies of the matter.
